What we handle
Each problem below links to its fixed fee. Every one starts with the same $1,697 diagnostic.
Unfiled returns
$997per individual year
The transcripts tell us which years the IRS is waiting on. We file those, replace any substitute returns, and get you into compliance so the balance can be negotiated.
Business returns are $1,997 per year. Add-ons and details.
Balances you can't pay
$2,097to $3,297 all in
Four tools, calculated side by side in the diagnostic so you choose from ranked options instead of being sold one.
If your household income is at or below the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic threshold, the hardship diagnostic is $897 and is usually the whole fee for a hardship case.
Practitioner judgment matters here. The IRS routinely rejects an eligible Offer when a partial-pay agreement would collect more. We tell you that before you pay for the Offer.
Notices, liens, and levies
$3,297levy or lien release, all in
CP and LT notices decoded, levies released, liens withdrawn, subordinated, or discharged where you qualify, and the underlying balance put into a resolution so it does not come back.
Penalty abatement is $1,697, which is the diagnostic fee: first-time abatement and a single reasonable-cause request are included in the plan. Details.
Audits and exams
$3,297mail audit, all in
You hand us the letter. We prepare the response, handle the examiner, and appeal when the result is wrong.
Office and field audits start at $4,897 and are quoted after the diagnostic when there are multiple years, a business return, or records to reconstruct. Details.
Payroll tax and Trust Fund Recovery Penalty
quotedafter the diagnostic
Unpaid 941s are the one IRS problem that can follow an owner personally. We handle the business collection case and the TFRP interview and defense together.
These cases vary too much for a menu price. The diagnostic is the same $1,697; the case fee is quoted in writing as a flat amount before anything begins.
State tax problems
includedin the same case
Most IRS problems come with a state problem attached, and state agencies move faster. We work both at once so one resolution does not leave the other exposed.
Bankruptcy and divorce
$1,697dischargeability or pre-decree review
Two places where a tax question decides the outcome of a legal matter: which years a bankruptcy discharges, and what the assets in a divorce are worth after tax.
Written for the person going through it and for the attorney handling it. Fixed fees on each page.
Not sure which of these you have?
That is what the diagnostic is for. Bring the letter, or nothing at all; the transcripts will tell us.
Questions people ask first
- I have not filed in years. Am I going to jail?
- Almost certainly not. Criminal cases are rare and involve deliberate evasion, not people who fell behind. The IRS wants the returns and a payment arrangement. The longer you wait the more the penalties and interest grow, so the practical answer is to pull the transcripts and start.
- The IRS says I owe far more than I think I do.
- That usually means a substitute for return. When you do not file, the IRS files for you using only the income it knows about, with no deductions, no basis, and the worst filing status. Replacing a substitute return with a real one is often the single biggest reduction in a case.
- Can you get my levy released this week?
- Often, yes. A wage or bank levy can be released quickly once we have authorization, you are in filing compliance or close to it, and we can show either hardship or a resolution in progress. Speed depends on the compliance piece, which is why the diagnostic comes first.
- Do you handle Colorado Department of Revenue problems?
- Yes, and other states. State agencies tend to move faster and be less flexible than the IRS. We work both at once because a resolution with one and not the other leaves you exposed.
